Of these, 73 are currently flagged as having \u2018no-go\u2019 zones. The FCDO might advise against all travel, or all but essential travel to parts or all of an area.<\/p>\n<p>From the threat of terrorism to unstable political climates and natural disasters, there are many reasons why the FCDO may advise Brits to avoid certain places. <\/p>\n<p>While British nationals make around 50 million trips each year \u2013 most of which are trouble-free \u2013 it\u2019s important to check the FCDO before you pack your suitcase. The western areas of Khojavand, Fuzuli and Aghdam. Any travel within the 5km border with Armenia.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Burundi: <\/strong>Cibitoke and Bubanza provinces, Kayanza Province, Melchior Ndadaye International Airport to Cibitoke, Bujumbura Rural Province.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Benin<\/strong>: Northern border regions, Eastern Benin.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Burkina Faso:<\/strong> everywhere apart from the capital, Ouagadougou, where it advises against all but essential travel.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chad:<\/strong> Borkou, Ennedi Ouest, Ennedi Est and Tibesti provinces, Kanem Province, including Nokou, Lake Chad region, within 30km of all Chad\u2019s other borders. The FCDO advises against all but essential travel to the rest of Chad.<\/li>\n<li><strong>C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire<\/strong>: borders with Burkina Faso and Mali, C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire-Liberia <\/strong>some distrcits in Pool region, border with Central African Republic in Likouala region, Mouyondzi District in Bouenza region.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Democratic Republic of the Congo:<\/strong> border with Central African Republic, Eastern DRC, areas in the Kinshasa Province, Kwamouth territory of Mai-Ndombe Province, Kasa\u00ef Oriental, Kasa\u00ef, Kasa\u00ef Central.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Djibouti: <\/strong>border with Eritrea.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eritrea: <\/strong>within 25km of Eritrea\u2019s land borders.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/egypt\/\">Egypt<\/a>:<\/strong> border with Libya, North Sinai, northern part of South Sinai, Western Desert, Hala\u2019ib Triangle and Bir Tawil Trapezoid, Eastern part of Ismailiyah Governorate.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethiopia<\/strong>: border areas, Tigray, Amhara, Afar, Gambela, Oromia, Somali, Central, Southern, Sidama, South West and Benishangul-Gumuz regions.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Georgia:<\/strong> South Ossetia and Abkhazia.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Indonesia: <\/strong>Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki, East Nusa Tenggara, Mount Sinabung, North Sumatra, Mount Marapi, West Sumatra, Mount Semeru, East Java, Mount Ruang, Northern Sulawesi, Mount Ibu, North Maluku.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Iraq: <\/strong>Federal Iraq (see FCDO website for specific areas).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Israel:<\/strong> Gaza border and Northern Israel.<\/li>\n<li><strong>India: <\/strong>border with Pakistan, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jordan:<\/strong> border with Syria.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/lebanon\/\">Lebanon<\/a>:<\/strong> areas in Beirut and Mount Lebanon Governorate, the South and Nabatiyeh Governorates, the Beqaa Governorate, the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, the Akkar Governorate, the city of Tripoli and Palestinian refugee camps.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Libya: <\/strong>all travel except for the cities of Tripoli, Benghazi and Misrata.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Myanmar: <\/strong>States of Chin, Kachin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon, Rakhine, Shan, regions of North Mandalay and East of the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway in Palestinian Territories:<\/strong> Gaza, areas near Gaza, the West Bank.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Philippines:<\/strong> Mindanao and the Sulu archipelago.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saudi Arabia: <\/strong>border with Yemen and Abha International Airport.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Somalia:<\/strong> Eastern and Western Somaliland.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sudan: <\/strong>everywhere apart from Hala\u2019ib Triangle and the Bir Tawil Trapezoid, where all but essential travel is advised.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tunisia:<\/strong> Western Tunisia<\/li>\n<li><strong>Togo:<\/strong> border with Burkina Faso.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Turkey<\/strong>: border with Syria.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ukraine: <\/strong>Crimea, within 50km of Belarus, everywhere else in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Venezuela: <\/strong>within 80km of the border with Colombia, within 40km of the border with Brazil, Zulia state.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Western Sahara:<\/strong> areas within 30km north and west of \u2018the State.<\/li>\n<li>Burundi: Rusizi National Park.<\/li>\n<li>Colombia: the Pacific Coast, northern Colombia, the borders with Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador, southern Colombia and central Colombia.<\/li>\n<li>Ecuador: coastal region, areas within 20km of the border with Colombia.<\/li>\n<li>Eswatini: the border with Mozambique.<\/li>\n<li>Ghana: Bawku
