Metro checks in to sister hotels in <\/a>Dubai<\/a> to see which is worth your money.<\/p>\n

The door to my personal transfer opens as I arrive at what can only be described as a palace. I\u2019ve pulled up to the Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach in thumping Emirati heat, ready to experience the city in a way I haven\u2019t before.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not my first time in Dubai<\/a>, but I\u2019d always felt it had limited offerings \u2013 appealing only to those who can afford to browse designer boutiques and lounge at swanky beach clubs.<\/p>\n

It is widely referred to as the world\u2019s most overrated city<\/a> and a \u2018materialistic hell\u2019<\/a>, but if this is true, why did Dubai\u2019s tourism<\/a> sector welcome a record 18.72 million tourists in 2024? And why is it TikTok<\/a>\u2019s most popular city of last year with 29.7 million posts and counting?<\/p>\n

People often say the best things about Dubai are hidden in its resorts. So I ventured back to put the Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach and Four Seasons Dubai DIFC to the test \u2014 these are my honest reviews.<\/p>\n

This beachside hotel is a little out of the way from downtown Dubai, tucked in a leafy residential neighbourhood with stunning views of the Burj Al Arab, as well as the iconic Burj Khalifa.<\/p>\n

Boasting 237 rooms, including 49 suites, the resort sits on 14 acres of landscaped gardens and pools, which genuinely give the vibe of a tropical paradise.<\/p>\n

With a 270-metre beach and immaculate interiors, it\u2019s not hard to see why it made it on Conde Nast Travellers Gold List of the best hotels in the world, let alone Dubai.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a sight to behold, with glossy marble floors and gargantuan flower arrangements. This is luxury; every inch has been carefully considered.<\/p>\n

Facilities<\/h2>\n

Without a doubt, the highlight of this hotel is its poolside offering. <\/p>\n

In place of a sunlounger<\/a>, you get a waterside villa, complete with private decking, dining area, outdoor shower, fully stocked bar, indoor seating and a huge flatscreen TV, along with your own private bathroom.<\/p>\n

The villa has a call button that beckons a smiling waiter in less than 10 seconds \u2014 I felt like royalty, if a little over-awed by the service.<\/p>\n

If that\u2019s not enough to relax you, the Pearl Spa offers massages tailored to your every need, with the option to indulge in a sauna and steam afterward.<\/p>\n

Beyond the resort grounds, both Four Seasons hotels in Dubai <\/strong>offer a range of cultural experiences.<\/p>\n

many guides on hand to show you a side of Dubai that\u2019s often overlooked in favour of shopping malls and rooftop bars.<\/p>\n<p>She takes you to places like The Courtyard, a creative centre bursting with art galleries, clothing boutiques and a retro playhouse, and Alserkal Avenue, an Instgrammable hotspot frequented by Pilates princesses hopping into G-wagons, green juice in hand.<\/p>\n<p>Nathalie let us in on locals\u2019 only haunts, including organic juice bar Wild & The Moon (the Better Than Botox flavour is the best), chocolate shop Ganache and bkry, the best coffee and pastry spot in town.<\/p>\n<div class=\"flourish-embed flourish-chart\" data-src=\"visualisation\/21906926\" data-secret=\"rTbGlcpyjX\"><\/div>\n<p>For a glimpse into old Dubai (all 191 years of it), Nathalie took us for breakfast at The Arabian Tea House and Caf\u00e9. Tucked in the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, formerly known as Al Bastakiya, they serve excellent gahwa (traditional Arabic coffee).<\/p>\n<p>You might even spot a celebrity; <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/kate-hudson\/\">Kate Hudson<\/a> and Martha Stewart have stopped for a bite.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Food and drink<\/h2>\n<p>There\u2019s plenty on offer to suit every taste. The standout meal was at Mercury Rooftop; it\u2019s hard not to enjoy fragrant truffle risotto while watching the Burj glisten at sunset.<\/p>\n<p>The poolside menu is also excellent, with everything from ceviche to steak and chips.<\/p>\n<p>For something more refined, there\u2019s the Michelin-tipped Sea Fu. It\u2019s slightly smaller than its sister hotel, with 106 rooms and a small rooftop pool and jacuzzi.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"646\" height=\"449\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"article-image wp-image-23033974 lazyload\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.mugfoundry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/DIF_064-57ea.jpg\">\t<\/div><figcaption>The rooftop of the Four Seasons DIFC (Picture: Four Seasons)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Facilities<\/h2>\n<p>The jewel of this hotel\u2019s crown is definitely the seventh-floor spa, where you can enjoy everything from facials and body scrubs to scalp massages and deep tissue treatments.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s also a state-of-the-art gym, complete with refreshments and personal trainers (this is Dubai, after all).<\/p>\n<p>Like its sister hotel, DIFC offers excursions with expert guides who give historical tours of the city.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Food and drink<\/h2>\n<p>Where this hotel truly shines is its afternoon tea. The food was good but if you\u2019ve got allergies, you\u2019d be better served elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>Breakfast at Mina Brasserie won\u2019t disappoint before you check out. Order an omelette or avocado on toast.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rooms<\/h2>\n<p>You\u2019ll be spoiled with a suite, including your own lounge area and dressing area, as well as a twice-a-day turn-down service which feels incredibly excessive. <\/p>\n<p>The room is huge, with a glass bathroom and a spacious shower.<\/p>\n<p>The sitting area has a swanky sofa, which is perfect for enjoying room service in front of the TV.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"646\" height=\"484\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" class=\"article-image wp-image-22748858 lazyload\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.mugfoundry.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Studio-Suite-Burj-Khalifa-4ef3.jpg\">\t<\/div><figcaption>The Studio Suite Burj Khalifa View room, from \u00a3905 per night (Picture: Four Seasons)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The verdict<\/h2>\n<p>Let\u2019s get this straight, both hotels are exceptional, but for me, one stood out.<\/p>\n<p>At the Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach, I stayed in the divine Premium Skyline Room starting at \u00a3460 per night, which is the most affordable room type in the hotel. Here, a five-night stay would cost you \u00a32,400.<\/p>\n<p>Flights with Emirates start at \u00a3519 taking your upfront expenses to just under \u00a33,000. Beyond that, you\u2019ll need to allow for food and experiences while you\u2019re enjoying your stay, so this is the kind of place I\u2019d recommend for a honeymoon.<\/p>\n<p>All in all though, I adored this hotel. The service is impeccable and you\u2019re never left waiting. The room is heavenly but it\u2019s the combination of having your own tour guide and the ocean on your doorstep that\u2019s the real luxury.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Four Seasons Jumeirah Beach: 10\/10<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you opt for the Four Seasons DIFC, the Studio Suite Burj Khalifa View room starts at \u00a3905 per night. This means a five-night stay would cost you \u00a34,525.<\/p>\n<p>The beach resort is typically the more expensive option, but we stayed in one of the more affordable room types.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m a beach babe so I have to say I prefer Jumeirah Beach, but that doesn\u2019t mean I wasn\u2019t blown away by all this hotel had to offer. What sticks with me is the secluded rooftop pool, afternoon tea and its proximity to many of Dubai\u2019s main attractions.<\/p>\n<p>It drops two points for the lack of beach, and the less allergy-friendly menu at the rooftop bar.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The Four Seasons DIFC: 8\/10<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"factbox\" data-ico=\"factbox_article\" data-track-module=\"factbox_article\">\n<h2 class=\"factbox-title\">\n\t\t\t\tEverything you need to know: at a glance\t\t\t<\/h2>\n<div class=\"factbox-content\">\n<p><strong>Time:<\/strong> Dubai is GMT +3 hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Weather:<\/strong> Dubai in May is typically rain-free with highs of 38\u00b0C and lows of 26\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adaptors:<\/strong> Not needed. Plugs in Dubai are the same as they are in the UK.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visa:<\/strong> You don\u2019t need a visa to travel to Dubai.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Check in\/check out:<\/strong> 3pm and 12pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disability access?<\/strong> Both hotels are fully wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Standout feature: <\/strong>At Jumeirah Beach the standout offering is the private poolside villa, while DIFC has an unmissable afternoon tea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is Jumeirah Beach right for? <\/strong>This is a great location for families with kids who love the beach, as well as couples who want to unwind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is Four Seasons DIFC right for?<\/strong> This is perfect for professionals in the city on business or couples looking to be close to the centre.
